About the Author
Jason has been a keen gardener for over twenty years, having taken on numerous weed infested patches and turned them into productive vegetable gardens. One of his first gardening experiences was digging over a 400 square foot garden in its entirety and turning it into a vegetable garden, much to the delight of his neighbors who all got free vegetables! He is passionate about helping people learn to grow their own fresh produce and enjoy the many benefits that come with it, from the exercise of gardening to the nutrition of freshly picked produce. He often says that when you’ve tasted a freshly picked tomato you’ll never want to buy another one from a store again! Jason is also very active in the personal development community, having written books on self-help, including subjects such as motivation and confidence. He has also recorded over 80 hypnosis programs, being a fully qualified clinical hypnotist. I had made a previous review of this book with a low rating. The reason for my low rating was not the book itself, it turned out to be a technical issue that prevented me from seeing the content of the book. Customer Service took care of this problem once I got around to contacting them and I have now read through at least most of the book.This is a very informative book if you are considering getting a greenhouse. I had just set one up and had found a lot of great information about setting up your greenhouse. Fortunately I had done most things correctly. This book covers everything you will need to get started and more. Being new to having a greenhouse I still think that people who have had them for a while would still find useful tips in this book. It covers all of the basics and will more than prepare you to get started.
This book includes literally everything that you could possibly want to start/run a green house!!! I would definitely recommend. The author is amazing at telling you what to do through a book!
It is very basic. And I really am a beginner. I wish it were a bit more detailed and included more on actual growing...
Has a lot of good info on basic greenhouse and growing, but most of the info I already knew from doing research online. I recommend The Year-Round Solar Greenhouse: How to Design and Build a Net-Zero Energy Greenhouse for anyone that wants to put more into it than just basic knowledge.
As I am one who has never had any experience with greenhouse gardening this is a good book for me to be a newbie with. He explains things very simply and clearly. I'm looking forward to having fruits and veggies within the year.
I guess I'm not as much of a beginner as I thought... Some might find this helpful but honestly this book is pretty basic. If you genuinely know nothing about gardening then this is for you.
