very good quality reproduction of badges. useless if you need manufacturing details, history of unit etc. neither a history nor a real catalog, but useful as far as it goes
I found what I was looking for in the book. Very happy with it.
The hundreds of excellent photos in this book are the only things that are keeping this book from getting a one star rating. I purchased this as a reference book, not as a picture book. However, there are no dates of usage on the 1000+ badges listed in this book, no constuction information other than a list of manufacturers, no photos of the reverses of the various manufacturers styles.....in fact there is absolutely zero useful information in this book.If you are looking for tons of pretty pictures of French badges, and don't mind spending $30.00 or so for them, then this is the book for you. If, on the other hand, you are looking for information on French badges......keep looking, as this isn't it.
