Excellent update of an already useful book, now giving additional relevant laws.You need to know your property rights and obligations are under Jalisco Condominium Law (JCL), which is written in Spanish of course. You also need to know what you are agreeing to when you purchase property and that your development’s condominium bylaws are superseded by JCL when there is a conflict. The development where I own property is now four years along in a dispute with the developer. This book has provided me with a clear understanding of what my property rights actually are. The only remedy for violations of these property rights is legal complaint, a lawsuit in the civil court.Garry Musgrave’s other two books “Jalisco Condo Manual“ and “Guide to Buying Property in Mexico“ cover other aspects of property ownership in Jalisco, Mexico and are equally important to own and read.

This is an excellent book for the beginner palm reader. Well, actually it's a bit more than just a primer, but it's very easy to understand so that someone like me with zero experience, can do a fair job of doing a casual reading for friends.The book is laid out like brightly colored cook books with tabs separating the 4 main parts of what you'd read on the hand. Actually it's more like reading the whole hand, rather than just the palm. Vernon Mahabal starts with the physical layout of the hand's landscape starting with the color.Pink is normal.Red usually means you're upset with someone.Yellow means you're worrying too much.Blue means that something 's on your mind and if your hands get very blue, it means that you're feeling sad.Next is the shape of the palm, the length of the fingers, whether your hands are hard or soft, and then if there are mounds on your and and where they are located. All of this has meaning which the author lays out with great illustrations and easy directions.The next tab shows the meaning of the fingers. They are named after the planets because they hold the energies of the planets within them. Mercury is the baby finger, the Sun is the ring finger, Saturn is the middle finger and Jupiter is the index finger. I've actually read in a totally unrelated book that we can tell where we are spiritually by the swirls on our index finger, so it makes sense that Jupiter rules spirituality. If your Jupiter(index finger) is longer than your Sun(ring) this means that you have natural leadership abilities. Turn it around and you're a natural artist/musician or anything in the creative field.Mahabal calls the thumb the lightening bolt generator. It's the power station take makes our talents come to life. I've also heard that the thumb is all about our will, so again, this makes sense.The last tab is about the lines on your hand. They are called Rivers of Consciousness. They are created by our brain waves. "They are a map of your consciousness. Think of each line as flowing river. The deeper and wider the line, the more power it can give you." page 35I have a few other books on palm reading, but no book was as easy to understand and so clearly laid out. I'd recommend this book to anyone just starting in the field of palmistry, or anyone wants to understand their life in a deeper way. I'd also recommend visiting Vernon Mahabal's website and have a reading done for yourself. I did and it was a life changing experience. He specializes in your soul's purpose.

It's a really great guide to learning how to read palms. It has way more information than I ever knew was involved with reading palms. For part of it you can tell stuff about people based on the firmness of their hands and they recommend feeling a lot of hands to be able to tell the difference. I did and it wasn't the most comfortable experience to ask people if you can poke their hand. It worked though, now I have that knowledge. It's a fun thing to do with friends unless it turns out it's all bad news for them. It's a great ice breaker most of the time.

I have really enjoyed this book. It is well illustrated and pretty in-depth. It answered pretty much all of my questions and was about 80% accurate on my own palm. But some of that may be my own error in reading. I highly recommend this book. It is a great book for a great price.

This is not for Dummies or Beginners. It's a pretty comprehensive list of commands and their use. AutoCAD is too powerful a program to condense down to something this small and have it explain everything on a Beginner's level. I guess I didn't expect it to be for Beginners, and since I'm a power user, that really made me happy with the book. Some of the commands in here aren't very well documented any where else that I have found. I've moved on to the next version of ACAD now, so I'm willing to part with it (see used listings) but I'll be looking for the Dummies book for the next version now.

Very helpful for those of us who do not plan to upgrade...

Outland, beginning to end. The strips are as great as I remember, but the occasional insightful comments from Berkeley Breathed himself make this volume that much better. And there on page 213 is the strip that brought us the frame on the cover, one that Mr. Breathed notes as his most requested strip. This is a must for all Bloom County/Outland/Opus and Breathed fans. The quality is right there with the first five that IDW has done so well. To note, the binding printing has returned to its foil-laden glory. This one is Golden, with Ronald-Ann being the featured character. Just love this. I'm a bit sad knowing that there is just one more to go. Think I'll go read the first five again now!***Please note that Amazon seems to have had a challenge getting their fulfillment centers to ship this with proper packaging, so that the book arrives without damage. My copies have been shipped loose (not shrink-wrapped), so the volumes each have arrived with corner damage and surface damage to the covers. I am now on my fourth attempt. Should you have the same issue, please be persistent until they get it right.***

I'm a big Bloom County fan, and read all of the collections of those, and then purchased this book. Outland was out during my high school/early college days, so reading comic strips is something I did less of, and therefore most of this material was new to me.Outland was the successor to Bloom County, a popular comic strip that ran during the 80's featuring a small rural boarding house and its residents. Opus, the most recognizable and popular character from Bloom County, continues his adventures in Outland. Outland was a Sunday only strip that ran from 89-95. At the risk of way over simplifying, Bloom County/Outland can possibly be described as a Doonesbury (Political, social) meets The Far Side (Absurd). The early chapters of Outland feature Opus with Ronald-Ann, Bill D. Cat, Mortimer Mouse and Milquetoast the coachroach, but eventually familiar faces like Steve Dallas, Cutter John, and Binkley will return. I am slightly baffled as to why Milo did not.The Outland strips in general were interesting. It was fun for to see some of the change in personal philosophy as culture changed from the early 80's to the mid 90's in Breathed. The downside of a Sunday only strip like this is that there seemed to be far less continuity or consistent story lines, which at times made it harder to get "in" to the strip and it's characters. I did like a lot of the art quality and some of the more surreal approaches Breathed took during this time. However, at the end of the day (with the exception of a few strips) - I just kept wishing I was reading Bloom County.Secondly, as a collection, I was disappointed with the lack of comments from Breathed. To me, a big selling point of ALL these collection books is the author's thoughts, insights, and memories to kind of give you the inside track into some of the strips. Breathed comments on very very few of the strips in this collection. I am unsure if it's because he also didn't get "into" this strip as much as Bloom County, or if because they were more recent he found it less interesting to go back into his memory banks for, but I would have liked to have seen more comments.I just get the vibe that Breathed himself wasn't quite sure what he was going for, or that his heart wasn't entirely into it. The seemingly dropped initial premise of the Outland itself, the coming and going of characters (past and present) and the eventual more or less return to Bloom County (albeit with an Outland name) makes it hard for this comic to really maintain its own flavor. The result ends up feeling like a muddled Bloom County 2.I give this 3 stars because I think it's good and worth reading. It's probably not worth re-reading, and it's not as good as Bloom County - and the lack of comments give Breathed fans less of a reason to grab this if they already have other collections. If you're a newbie, make sure you start with Bloom County.

The Sunday-only Outland picked up where Breathed left off, introducing new characters, but keeping his keen commentary on the world intact.This volume collects all of the Outland strips into one place, including some that haven't been collected before as far as I can tell. I remember reading Bloom County regularly when it was released, but many newspapers didn't carry Outland, so these were easy to miss. (Opus, which followed Outland, was even more difficult to follow; fortunately, the collected Opus strips are the next volume in the IDW series, with an ad for the book presented at the end of this volume.)Truthfully, Outland was a little lifeless early on, with the first few strips focused on Ronald-Ann, Mortimer Mouse and Tim W. Forty. Not exactly household name characters (although Mortimer does indeed look like a very well-known Disney mouse), and the humor is not what I loved from Bloom County. The strips get going pretty quickly after Opus returns in the fifth strip, however. I think I'd have been less taken with the Sunday-only strips given this slow pace, but reading them back to back in this book is much easier to take. But it seems Breathed realized pretty quickly that familiarity was the key to Outland's continued survival. In fact, through the course of the strip, many more Bloom County characters would make appearances. The strip essentially became Bloom County without the Bloom County, if that makes sense.For the buyer interested in pre-Bloom County material: No Academia Waltz material is included in this volume as Amazon indicates in its information about the book. I think it was left over from the Bloom County volumes. Just a heads up if you were looking for any extras.Overall, the book stands up well with the former Bloom County (Bloom County: The Complete Collection, Vol. 1: 1980-1982 (Bloom County Library) books in the series, and it's good to see the gold foil return on the spine. The book fits nicely on the shelf with the rest of the books.

Omg my 2 boys loved this book ages 6 and 11. The youngest one would to know who wrote the book and had so many questions after reading it. Great job on the illustration and language, also the small activities in the back are a plus and kept both of them having a questioning mindset.

Terrible book. I purchased this for entertaining ideas. Instead it's simply an advertisement for their properties. The title should be changed. It doesn't describe the art of entertaining at all. Sorry I purchased this book.

I am a flower designer and this book refers to flowers as an important feature, which is not. Very disappointed in this way.

Had to buy this for school. I am SHOCKED at the number of errors. The first unit has nursing misspelled the entire unit as "Nurshing". Chapter 2 has numerous grammatical errors and the historical vignette keeps changing tenses. Chapter 3 misspelled policy as "polcy". Those are the chapters that I have read thus far. I cannot believe that this made it through editing, much less being the seventh edition.

Almost no difference from previous versions and as with many other college books hardly had to use at all. Glad there's such a great resource for renting these at a much lower cost than buy. Only needed for the 5 weeks of the class and even then once again was hardly opened.

This is the driest book on policy and politics that did little to inspire to action.

This book is falling apart! Why is this book being rented out when chapters 1-5 are no longer apart of the book?!? I understand that it’s used, but this is damaged. Not particularly happy with this purchase :/

HIGHLY LIBERAL text. Not everyone in nursing and healthcare is infatuated with socialized medicine. Universities should present a wide variety of views instead of being in the business of brainwashing students.

I bought this book and while preparing for my final exam I observed this book has some flaws . For example1.Pages 486 - 497 are missing2.After you get to page 499 the pages number counts down/ backwards.There are few more errors and these are printing errors because there are no signs of the pages being removed or altered intentionally. Unfortunately the return period has passed and this is very inconvenient for me.

This book needs to be out of circulation. It is coming apart. There are so many pages that are coming apart at the spine. When I received this book, I thought only 2 pages were apart. However, as I browse through, it is much worse than I thought. Amazon needs to intervene and have this book not to be rented. It has seen its better days.

This book seems to present one-sided views and opinions instead of facts on certain issues. That makes it frustrating to read.
